Between Reality and a Dream

Most nights,
I cannot tell
the difference between
reality and a dream.
Am I sleeping
or am I awake?
It is those fingers,
her touch, the warmth
of her soft skin that I feel.
And when she is in my dreams,
on those dark nights, it is always real.
