When She Sleeps

When she sleeps,
she sleeps and dreams of me.
Dreaming of us by the sea,
with our feet planted in the sand,
fingers interlocked, holding hands.

And when I sleep,
I sleep and dream of her.
Of her enduring love. Of her touch.
Of her soft skin pressed against mine.

And on the beach,
in our dreams, there is no time.
No clocks to watch. Only the waves
gently rolling in her eyes.
